We always get a little bummed when the Bachelor or Bachelorette opts out of the cocktail party and skips right to the Rose Ceremony, so when Andi Dorfman chose to do so in June 16’s Episode 5, we felt a little gipped out of the man drama. But, in the end, we can’t fault the lovely lawyer for knowing what she wanted and really going for it.

During a lovely, romantic trip to Marseilles, France, Andi had her fair share of successful and less successful 1-on-1s — Josh Murray and Brian Osborne, respectively. However, she also had to deal with her share of male egos. And after Marquel Martin and Andrew Poole faced off (over some potentially racist comments), and Cody Sattler and Nick Viall had Bickerfest 2014, we’re not surprised Andi was ready to skip to eliminations.

But while the rest of us might struggle with a heavy decision like dropping not one but three guys, Andi seemed confident in following her gut — not surprising for a gang prosecutor, really.

“I am feeling just a lot of different emotions,” Andi said prior to the ceremony. “Part of it’s exciting, and part of it’s terrifying. As much as it breaks my heart, going into this rose ceremony is just about trusting my instincts … You know, it’s been a great romantic week. But I feel like in being true to myself, I don’t think that there needs to be a cocktail party tonight.”

Sadly, the more troubled gents didn’t get their last ditch efforts to woo the Atlantan beauty over, and in the end, Marquel, Andrew, and Andrew’s bromantic partner Patrick Jagodzinski were all sent packing.

While it was less painful to see Andrew and Pattycakes heading home — at least they found each other! — our hearts broke for Prints Charming Marquel as he teared up in front of the ABC cameras. We’ll miss you buddy — though maybe (spoiler!) not for too long?
