Nick Viall kinda took it from all sides in Episode 5, getting called out by Patrick Jagodzinski, Cody Sattler, and even Bachelorette Andi Dorfman herself for calling himself the season’s frontrunner. C.Satts pounded his chest at Nick, the Pat called him arrogant, and Andi said he can’t be a frontrunner cuz she’s not a prize. But Sharleen Joynt isn’t buying the Nick villain edit that ABC’s selling, and tells Flare she’s still “staunchly pro-Nick.”

S.Joy also takes to her blog to defend McSalty. The founding member of the “I Survived Juan Pablo Galavis And All I Got Was This Stupid T-Shirt” support group writes, “Sorry, y'all. I know we're being told to hate on Nick right now but I'm not drinking the Kool-Aid.” What are ya drinking, Shar, and can we share a glass?

The Bachelor Season 18 standout explains that she feels like Nick is getting an unfair edit from show producers and that she knows firsthand from her stay that what happens in Bachelor Mansion isn’t always what really happens in Bachelor Mansion. “Having watched what I knew I'd said get cut and replaced with things I'd said in other moments in other weeks,” she writes, “I can tell you production is very resourceful when it comes to making their audience believe something about somebody.”

But she goes on to say that it doesn’t even really matter what Nick said or didn’t (or wrote in a “poem”), because Nick’s assessment of himself as frontrunner is “entirely true and I think it’s amusing that anyone would take issue with it.”

The opera singer believes Nick’s faith in his relationship with Andi isn’t the issue, but rather Cody’s case of the insecures is. “Nick is confident regarding Andi and Cody is not...the people who are terrified they're next on the chopping block – because they usually are – tend to act out on the ones who aren't.” Wanna be spoiled and see if Shar’s right?
