In the July 14 episode of The Bachelorette, Andi Dorfman made perhaps the most controversial elimination of the season when she said adios to fan fave farmer Chris Soules before the Rose Ceremony, aka, without getting her fantasy on in the fantasy suite. Sigh, we still need some time to get over that one. Though her two remaining men couldn’t be more different from each other, the Hotlantan has a strong connection with each, meaning we have no idea how she’s going to decide. Too bad a coin toss probably isn't an option...
Though Andi herself is the one who’s going to have to hand out the Final Rose, some of her recent castoffs have their own opinions on whether Josh Murray or Nick Viall should get the flower. So, are Farmer Chris, Marcus Grodd, and Marquel Martin (!) #TeamJosh or #TeamNick?
In a blog on zap2it, the gentleman farmer refuses to choose sides, which is sooo not helpful but makes us love him even more (is that possible?). “I'm on the fence,” Chris says, “I think they both have different things going for them.” He does reveal, however, that halfway through the season he would have been totes in the J.Murrs corner.
“If you asked me this while we were still there, I would have said the complete opposite, Josh all the way — but after having watched it, clearly Nick and Andi have a connection and I hope that's a real connection that he'll carry forward throughout the rest of their lives [if he wins].” Can we just pause for a moment and soak up the goodness that is Chris… OK, moving on.
Marcus is less diplomatic in his thoughts on McSalty V. “Seeing those episodes with Nick definitely kept my mind on track with thinking about he is here for the show and he just wants to be on TV. He treated this as a game, honestly. I see him as a schemer."
The blue-eyed hottie is resolutely team Josh, saying “I'm hopeful that Josh ends up with Andi. Not only is he one of the best friends I walked away from the show with, but I see a match with Andi and Josh. His personality is one in a million, I think the world of the guy and I think they'll make a fantastic couple if they end up together.” Awwww, it's not awkward if Marcus is best man at the wedding, right?
Marquel Martin swings the vote back to Nick, basically saying all’s fair in love and reality TV. “I will defend Nick 'til the day I die. He's one of the best people I will ever have the chance to meet. It's weird because I really felt that...as a man, if you're going after someone you could potentially feel yourself marrying, why would you feel that you are second to anyone?”
So there’s one vote undecided, one vote for Josh, and one vote for Nick. Not helpful guys. Guess we’ll have to wait for Hy Dorfman to weigh in...
