Turns out Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray do have a specific time for their wedding in mind... down to the actual day. The Bachelorette gave an interview to Atlanta's JEZEBEL Magazine this week, in which she let it slip that she and her former athlete fiance have already discussed the details of their 2015 nuptials — and a lot of it has to do with Josh's little bro Aaron's football schedule.
"I don’t know. I think I would love a spring wedding. You know we have to work a little bit around football. The [NFL] season ends around January- or February-ish. Obviously Aaron is going to be in the wedding, so we’re going to wait until his season is over, which is fine because I don’t really want a winter wedding," Andi reveals. And this is where she gets to specifics. "I’d like to plan a little bit, but I think we’d love to do it May 9, which would be exactly a year from the proposal."
Everyone mark your calendars! Hopefully in a little over nine months from now, we'll be watching their (Atlanta?) wedding go down on our TV screens. Make it happen, ABC!
Original story (7/28/14):
The secret is out: Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray are officially engaged and they’re ready to shout it from the rooftops! The Bachelorette accepted her ex-baseball player suitor’s Neil Lane sparkler in the Season 10 finale on July 28, and though this might all seem brand new to us, the adorbs Atlanta duo are already planning their wedding, which they revealed during “After the Final Rose.”
In the live special immediately following the pre-taped (in early May) finale episode, Andi and Josh sat down with Chris Harrison to flaunt their finally-public relationship. They certainly didn’t hold back, as neither the Dorf nor her 29-year-old fiancé could keep their hands off one another — not to mention their gushy professions of love. (OK Josh, why don’t you just go shout it in St. Mark’s Square and get it out of your system?)
But while some of their honesty was a little much, we were excited to find out that the future Mr. and Mrs. Murray have already begun planning their upcoming nuptials… and we did say upcoming. In fact, they even dropped a hint at a date!
“We’re thinking of a springtime wedding,” Josh dished, before Andi pointed out that, at that point (spring 2015), they would have been engaged for a year. So soon!
And just in case we weren’t listening, the couple confirmed these plans on Jimmy Kimmel Live! immediately following the show. “We like spring — next spring,” J.Murrs told the host. “We need time to just be engaged… Gotta have a bachelorette party and all that first!”
Once the date does arrive, you better believe those ABC cameras will be there! "As long as I get to marry him … and they have to show the reception," Andi told People this week. "We'd have so much fun at the reception," Josh adds.
As for the next steps following the wedding (aka expanding the Murray family) the lovebirds say that’s still a distant plan. “Not pregnant still!” Andi insisted with a laugh. “I’m trying!” Josh added, causing a stir among the audience. We get it, you guys are getting busy! One step at a time though, mister.
