It’s been a week since we watched Nick Viall get his heart handed to him during the finale and After the Final Rose special of The Bachelorette Season 10, but the wounded bird persona Nick portrayed on stage is still fresh in our minds. Even though Andi Dorfman just kicked him to the curb on television a week ago, in reality it’s been over two and a half months since filming wrapped and Andi chose Josh Murray as her final man. Which means it wouldn’t be unheard of for Nick to have moved on and started dating again by now. But has he?

In a conference call with Reality TV World, Nick admits that he’s still lingering in his sad place. When asked about his dating life as of late, Nicky V reveals, “No. I don’t have an active dating life, you know, I haven't been on any like actual dates, dates. I certainly met people out and I met some great people and all, but nothing really of note or serious.” Some of those great people include Bachelor Season 18 contestants Kat Hurd and Christy Hansen, who Nick was caught chilling with in Chicago before Andi’s season finished airing. Whoops.

So how long will Nick’s heart be on hiatus? Hard to tell, though his love prognosis seems to be getting more positive. “I'm excited especially now that this is over,” he tells reporters. “And from a privacy standpoint, I have a little bit more freedom I suppose that I didn't have a lot of the time [on the show]. I had to kind of keep things more under wraps, but I am excited to get out there and, you know, date.”

Sounds like maybe someday soon Nick will get back to the drawing board — literally — and find a new lucky lady to make a fairytale book for. Fingers crossed!

What do you think: is it taking Nick too long to get over Andi or is everyone’s timeframe their own? Tell us in the comments.
