Long before Eric Hill arrived at Bachelor Mansion looking for love on Andi Dorfman’s season of The Bachelorette, he went on an even more epic journey looking for the adventure of a lifetime. Eric and Brooks Forester, of Desiree Hartsock’s season, traveled over 2,000 miles from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas on motorbike as part of the newly-released miniseries, Mexico: Baja and Back.

According to Us Weekly, Brooks had zero bike riding experience before the trip, but agreed to join the nine other guys anyway. Plus, he didn’t own a bike, so Eric outfitted him for the 12-day adventure with one he bought on Craigslist.

Brooks says the pilgrimage was the first time he’d met Eric — the world-traveler who died in a tragic paragliding accident shortly after filming The Bachelorette — and that the two became fast friends. “His passion for travel became apparent...He was truly a remarkable person and someone I was privileged to call my friend."

The series’ synopsis is as follows: “Ten friends embark on a motorcycle adventure of a lifetime, more than 2,000 miles down Mexico's Baja Peninsula and back. Minutes after crossing the Mexican border bikes start breaking down, people get lost and we battle our way south through breathtaking desert and coastal scenery.”

Throughout the eight-episode series, we get to see the group of pals swim with whale sharks, play a game of soccer with local kids, deal with bikes breaking down, and explore Mexican culture — all while creating some pretty awesome memories.

While we didn’t get to see a lot of Eric on Andi’s season, we can’t help but think this is a more accurate and lasting testament to the adventurer he was and we can’t wait to watch him and his inspiring life!
