In the words of R Kelly: real talk. We are dying a slow rose-scented death without Arie Luyendyk, Jr. in our lives, and something must be done. Arie stole our souls (in a good way) during his stint on Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette, and many hopeful fans were sure he'd be cast as the next Bachelor.
Sadly (or happily, depending on what floats your man boat), Sean Lowe is ABC's chosen one, which means Arie Luyendyk Jr. is back to doing what he does best: looking ridiculously good-looking while wearing jumpsuits. The good news? Arie's been teasing a new entertainment project, and in anticipation we've rounded up 3 reasons he needs to come back on TV!
1. He's a Ratings Gold Mine
Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette was one of the most-watched in history, and it's all thanks to Arie. These two had a connection from the first moment they met, and fans kept coming back for more week after week. We have no doubt that Arie would bring in massive ratings if he was given his own reality show. May we suggest The Almost Bachelor Chronicles: Tales From s’Hertogenbosch?
2. He's Totally Lovable
One of Arie's best characteristics (other than his passionate kissing skills) is the fact that he's 100% genuine. Everything he says comes across as honest and from the heart, and he's an absolute joy to watch on television. Boyfriend is just so likable, and let's not forget that time he gifted Emily's parents a box of dried up (and possibly rotten) rose petals. Pure class.
3. He Lives Life in the Fast Lane (Literally)
Arie's life doesn't need to be scripted in order to be interesting. He has a dream job racing cars with all sorts of famous athletes, ladies are throwing themselves at his feet all over the place, and he travels around the world for work. In other words, he's non-stop entertaining!
