Emily Maynard  — she’s like a fairy tale princess in a tower. Guys kinda like her (just a bit!) and they’ll probably fight hard for her when The Bachelor Season 15 winner is the Season 8 Bachelorette. Several Bachelor Nation guys have mentioned little crushes on Miss Em, and even some who haven’t openly swooned could potentially be good matches for her anyway.

So here are five suggestions for guys who should sign up for the show this spring to try and guard and protect Emily’s heart.

William Holman
Back in September, when Emily was sending out carrier pigeons and smoke signals to anyone who would listen to her ant-rumor spin, she diffused the David Smith romance rumor with “Hey! Just fyi not true! My family has been close to DS family forever! Still looking for The One so if you know of any funny/cute guys.. :)” At the time, we immediately thought of William Holman, who had joked on The Bachelorette Season 7 that he wanted the rosemistress to be Emily instead of Ashley Hebert. That was in poor taste but now it’s good timing — especially if she really does want a funny/cute guy. That’s Prince William all right, and we know he and Em like to flirt over Twitter. There’s no reason he shouldn’t be able to uproot himself to Charlotte, N.C. They are probably starving for comedy roast kings.

Michael Stagliano
Emily was one of our initial suggestions for ladies to date the post-Holly Durst Stags. He preferred his ex-flame Jillian Harris —awesome call, by the way — but it’s almost like Emily is more his type. He usually prefers petite blondes and maybe he was just intimidated by the idea of Emily. She does sometimes turn guys into blubbering bowls of jelly. But she did say she wanted a funny/cute guy and Michael is definitely that. The Staglianos seems like a very close, fun family and she would probably fit right in. He could bring out her goofy side and she and Ricki could bring out his mature, papa bear side. It could work.

David Good
Dave does not mince words and he made it clear that, to him, The Bachelorette should be a drop-dead gorgeous woman. The kind of girl that, if she walked into a bar, heads would turn and you’d want to know who she was. To him, that was Emily. So go for it. If this is your ideal bachelorette, why not take a chance? Dave and Brad Womack are both guys who take very good care of their bodies and it’s possible Emily really likes that — even while saying she’s more into funny/cute guys. (Let’s be honest — was Brad funny/cute?)

As Michelle Money’s brother, Doug is an adopted member of Bachelor Nation — like Michael Stagliano’s brother, Stephen, who recently married Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas. Sometimes it’s good to date someone outside the family who is still connected in some way and knows what you’re going through. Anyway, last September, Emily and Doug seemed to bond at Graham Bunn’s lemonade stand charity event in New York and tweeted all sorts of photos and cutesy things about each other, even mock marriage proposals. The Bachelorette is gonna need funny/cute guys like this — ‘cause we can’t have a season of boring, painfully earnest guys just sharing their own harrowing backstories. We need fun. These two are fun.
