5 Reasons Ashley Hebert Should Pick Ben Flajnik
It’s never too late to give a person you’ve never met advice on a decision they already made two months ago. So here are five reasons why Ashley Hebert should pick Ben Flajnik on The Bachelorette Season 7 finale:
1. They are happy and comfortable together
Falling in love should be fun — it should be the time of your life — not all tears and drama. Ashley and Ben have a light, fun, playful relationship. They both love to laugh, even when it’s just about toes. Ashley is a goofy girl and Ben is a goofy guy. They are around the same age and seem to be on the same easygoing wavelength.
2. They have great chemistry
At first we worried that super low-key Ben wasn’t going to be able to keep up with JP’s super-sexy chemistry. Then we saw her straddle him on that yacht. Then he picked her up from the pool and carried her sopping wet into the fantasy suite. We’re not worried anymore.
3. She could use a mellow guy
Ashley has a tendency to get hyper and emotional. Ben is so laid-back he’s almost sideways. But still waters run deep and Ashley could use someone to balance out her zany energy. Ben’s whole Cali winemaker lifestyle is cool and low-key. We can picture Ashley out there having dinner parties with him, hanging out with his friends, and making appearances in his Storm Horse videos. Their lives just seem to “fit” well.
4. They are ready to start new lives together
One of Ashley’s complaints about Brad Womack was how he wanted someone to fit into his existing life and she wanted someone with whom she could start a new life. Well, Ashley and Ben are both just starting new careers — he as a winemaker and she as a dentist — and they can start a new chapter of their lives together. If they decide to ditch these careers tomorrow and start new ones, we can see them doing it. There’s a lot of room for spontaneity with these two, more than perhaps with Ashley and JP.
5. Love is a slow burn
Ashley said it herself. Love isn’t just instant infatuation (think Bentley). It’s something that develops over time, built from mutual respect and friendship. Ashley spends most of her time with JP sucking his face. With Ben, there’s joking around, but there’s also discussion about his late father and his own emotional journey. It took a while, but Ben finally let his walls down after years of being a casual party boy. If they stay together, their relationship could age like a fine (Evolve) wine.
