Bachelorettes Ali Fedotowsky and Ashley Hebert both made note of Emily Maynard saying she couldn’t watch as wee bachelor Jef Holm competed in the Highland Games on The Bachelorette Season 8, Episode 6.

Season 7’s Ashley tweeted, “Notice how Emily said she couldn't watch before Jef went?? *sign* I couldn't watch JP fight in Thailand!!”

In her San Francisco Chronicle blog, Ali wrote about the Emily/Jef dynamic, comparing it to her own Season 6 experience.

I didn’t think Emily was super into Jef last week, but now she is saying that she didn’t want to watch Jef with one F compete and I am guessing that is because she was scared he would get hurt,” Ali writes. “This is exactly how I felt when Roberto olive oil wrestled in Turkey. I was terrified that he would get hurt and couldn’t watch. Wondering if she said that because she has the strongest feelings for him? Who knows, maybe I am wrong and she will end up with him. I just have such a hard time wrapping my head around a relationship moving slowly in Bachelorette land. There isn’t any time for it to move slowly. I guess they could get engaged (because that’s what people do on this show), but I think that their real relationship will develop (like most couples on this show) after the cameras stop rolling. We shall see.”

Ali made another Roberto comparison, in a very different way, with Emily’s race car hottie, Arie Luyendyk, Jr.:

“The kiss with Emily and Arie was HOT!!! Her relationship with him reminds me of mine with Roberto in terms of passion. Her relationship with Jef reminds me of my relationship with Frank on my season. Does this mean her season will turn out similarly? No. I’m just commenting on what I am seeing. I can’t get into all the reasons why I feel this way because a lot of the reasons are private. Yes, some things on ‘The Bachelorette’ can be private, believe it or not. Ha! But I just wanted to point out that I feel this way.”

Interesting. Let’s hope Jef doesn’t have a girlfriend back home like Frank Neuschaefer. Ali is staying strong with her top three pics of Arie, Jef and Sean Lowe, despite Sean not doing much but looking hot and muscular in a kilt (that’s enough) — but, despite the passion, she’s removing Arie from the picture.

“Not just because of the previews, but I just don’t think she will think he is ready for a child. That leaves Jef and Sean. This week, my vote goes to Jef with one F. I may never make up my mind, but that is where all signs are pointing right now. Next week, I’m going to say Alejandro returns and she gives him the final rose. HA!”

Our money’s still on Dolly Parton.
