The main problem with couples that meet on Bachelor Pad? Things get hot, heavy, and intense during filming only to quickly cool off once everyone’s back in the real world. Clearly, that was the case with Michael Stagliano and Rachel Truehart. And it also seemed to be the cause of Tony Pieper and Blakeley Jones’ recent split.
But what about Bachelorette bad boy Kalon McMahon and girl-next-door Lindzi Cox, who surprised everyone with their summertime hook up? They certainly didn’t appear to have staying power. At live finale in September, Kalon didn’t issue a denial when Erica Rose accused him of two-timing Lindzi with more than one woman once filming wrapped. Not to mention, given the fact that she lives in Seattle and he’s now based in LA, they’ve got a lot of distance between them.
So while we had the chance to chat with Kalon about his new company, Givebones, we couldn’t help but ask for as status update on his love life.
Wetpaint Entertainment: What’s going on with you and Lindzi?
Kalon: We seem to be one of the last couples standing. It’s her birthday soon and I’m trying to get up to see her.
So you’re still dating?
We’re trying to do the long distance thing. It’s difficult. We had a great little streak where I saw her four weekends in a row. But now, I haven’t seen her in about three weeks.
Do you think long distance relationships can work?
They’re difficult. I did one once and I told myself I’d never do it again. But here we are. Hopefully, with the holiday season coming, we’ll get to see each other more.
Are you exclusive? Or are you both free to date other people?
Let’s put it this way: I’m not trying to date other people and nothing else has come my way that would provoke me to question what I’m doing with Lindzi.
Ha. Look, we’re giving it a shot. We’ll see what happens. But she’s wonderful.
Any thoughts on Tony and Blakeley’s split?
They’re both such cool people individually. I wish them the best.
