Our favorite Danish racecar driver with baby blue eyes may not get a shot at love on The Bachelor, but Arie Luyendyk, Jr. reveals to North Valley Magazine that he definitely knows what he’s looking for when it comes to love. And ladies, prepare yourselves for joy — Arie’s “still single” and looking.
Remember when Bachelorette Emily Maynard delivered Arie that heart-wrenching goodbye in Curacao? We wept, we cursed the sky, we asked ourselves WHY?! But it looks like Arie’s carried on just fine — managing to dust his heart off and get back out there. So is he actively looking for love? He says, “Always looking I guess, but when you’re looking I guess you don’t find it.” He adds, “Hopefully it will just happen naturally.”
Well, if Arie’s on the market, then naturally throngs of Arie-worshippers want to know what kind of women — aside from engaged Southern single mothers — tickle his fancy. He confesses, “I don’t really have a type. I kind of date different types of women.” (And by “different types of women” he obviously means nobody but us.)
While Arie’s flexible when it comes to the physical details, he makes clear three main things he desires in a lady — and the good news is we’re pretty sure we have all three nailed. Ahh — we can feel his hands running through our hair already...
Um, have you seen our coverage of The Bachelorette? We deliver more puns, LOLs and clever turns of phrase than Arie’s entire repertoire of ambushing blondes with back-alley Croatian kisses.
We can properly pronounce Arie’s name. What more is there to know?
This is where we get really excited. Arie explains that “Someone who can make you laugh and you just want to hang out all day with is the person you want to be with.” Agreed, Arie — and being 1) Witty and 2) Smart certainly makes having fun with us effortless. (So we’re totally in, obviously.)
Wondering where looks rank for Arie? He admits, “It helps to be attractive, I guess, but I don’t really have one type.”
Sounds good to us — we’ll take his equal-opportunity, overly handsy kisses any day.
