Ashley Hebert was the second-ever Bachelorette to marry her final rose ceremony pick. Ashley married sweetheart construction-worker fiance J.P. Rosenbaum on December 1, 2012, with the ABC wedding special airing on December 16, 2012. Fellow Bachelorettes Emily Maynard, Jillian Harris, and Ali Fedotowsky attended the epic event, with Ali gushing about J.P.’s vows: “They were the sweetest, most endearing, loving words you could imagine.” Here are the words Ashley and J.P. exchanged before they committed to each other for life:
I have to admit, I was never a big believer in fate, never thought that one woman and one man were put on this world to meet each other. And then I met you. What are the odds that a small-town girl from somewhere near the North Pole would ever, ever find and meet and fall in love with a born-and-bred New Yorker. If that’s not an example of fate, I don’t know what is. Ashley, you are the kindest, warmest, most beautiful person, inside and out, that I’ve ever known.
I probably don’t deserve you, but now that I’ve got you, now that we’ve found each other, I will never ever let you go. Not only are you my one true love, but you’re my best friend, you are my absolute everything, and I promise to cherish you forever.
From the first time we met, my heart has been drawn to you. Your sparkly smile enhances my life, no matter what. I promise to look at each day and remember, no matter what, happiness always lies between us. Relationships are the most important things in life, today and every day. Your dedication to family and our future family inspires me. I promise to never forget this. I promise to never forget the way you put up with my [inaudible] energy, not-so-funny jokes, and miniature Yorkie, Boo. I promise to always choose happiness. I promise that every day together will be the greatest day of my life. I love you.
