We have been lamenting the loss of Bachelor Pad to our summer schedule, even going so far as to think of all the things ABC has robbed us of by tearing it out of our talons. Yeah, yeah, we know some of you are like “It’s good for America!” (looking at you, Sean Lowe, ruiner of dreams) but look: Teen Mom and Honey Boo-Boo still exist, so really? Cancelling the dirty television version of our body pillow just gives us one less thing to cuddle with. But before you go back to talking to that mirror you glued a picture of Jaclyn Swartz to, we have some good news: Bachelor Pad is BACK — sort of.
What does that mean, exactly? Well, have you heard of Burning Love? If not, close this window and go find it. We’ll wait. Ready? Okay. Well, the geniuses at Yahoo who created the star-studded (like, actual celebrities. Oh, hi there Adam Scott. Take your pants off.) web series parody of The Bachelor/ette are giving us another gift: Burning Down the House.
Beginning on April 12, the world will be blessed (BLESSED) with this satiric version of the infected infectiously fun competition-debauchery-love show. Bringing back old favorites, from the first couple seasons of the series, Michael Ian Black hosts the hilarious Ryan Hansen, June Diane Raphael, Ken Marino, Nastasha Leggero, and more of our favorite parodians (yep, made that up). Check out the trailer and get ready to watch them battle it out for the prize of a lifetime: Nine. Hundred. Dollars.
