Dang it. No offense to Ashley Hebert, but we're not completely over how "exhausting" she was on that group date on The Bachelor Season 15. She's an emotional wreck. And she's going to be the Season 7 Bachelorette. Hooray?
That's the news of the day from Spoiler King Reality Steve, who told us yesterday that Emily Maynard — fan favorite and Brad Womack's rumored runner-up — would not be the Bachelorette.
So if Brad is engaged to Chantal O'Brien and Emily said no, that leaves the lady in third place: the dancing dentist from Mada-nowhere, Maine!
Steve announced the news in a video blog... after making us watch him dance. That's just cruel.
Back to Ashley. We were kinda sorta hoping the new Bachelorette would be Michelle Money. Or, for a nice sanity check, Shawntel Newton. Steve sees Ashley as “Jillian 2.0” for being short, spunky, bubbly, and willing to hook up with a bunch of guys. He says her season will start filming within the next three weeks.
In any case, it doesn't really matter who lands in the hot seat as long as they cast the season well. Now that untouchable Emily is out of the way, maybe ABC can find some good crazies for Ashley. She's proven she can handle it.
