Who else shed a melancholy tear as The Bachelorette's Emily Maynard said goodbye to Joe Gendreau after their awkward solo date? Girlfriend was a hot mess.
"Oh my goodness, I can't even begin to tell you," Em tells Ryan Seacrest. "I mean, I did the absolute ugly cry on the second date sending Joe home. I was so upset, I didn't even know his last name! I still don't even know his last name."
So, why did Emily shed so many tears over a total stranger? "It wasn't because I thought I was breaking his heart or anything like that," Em explains. "I just felt so bad, because I thought the day had gone so well, and it came out of nowhere, and he didn't expect it at all. And that's the worst part I think. But I think it freaked him out, because he wanted to run away from me. He was like, 'woah, stop crying.'"
Sounds like Emily is pretty sensitive, which might be why she's crushing so hard on Jef With One F. "I think it's because he's the last person that I would ever expect to be on The Bachelorette," Emily says about our future boyfriend. "He's not the typical guy that comes on the show, he's very free spirit[ed], but he's also very soft spoken. Just his voice makes me feel totally calm. And he's funny."
Jef's voice makes us calm too, Emily. Shhhh, listen to the dulcet tones.
