Bachelorette Emily Maynard’s Ex Marries in Surprise Beach Ceremony

Emily Maynard is hearing her own wedding bells ring faintly off in the distance on The Bachelorette Season 8, but she’s got one ex who just recently beat her to the alter (don’t worry; it’s not Brad Womack): country singer Jake Owen. Emily and Jake were linked for a brief second back in 2008, way before Em found love with Brad on The Bachelor.

Us Weekly reports Jake, who proposed to longtime girlfriend Lacey Buchanan just over a month ago, tied the knot in an intimate sunrise beach ceremony. Jake tweeted proudly after the nuptials: “I now have a wifey.” In a statement to Us, Jake added, “It was really emotional for all of us. It was definitely the most surreal moment of my life.”

Wonder how Emily feels about all of this? We bet she’s pretty distracted by these hot guys.
