Oh, tabloids! You make Wednesdays so much fun.
Today the rumor gods have smiled on us with two fun Bachelorette stories: One feeding the fans who'd love for Emily Maynard to really end up with newly-single host Chris Harrison and another cover story about Emily's "secret calls" to her Bachelor ex-fiance Brad Womack.
Let's dig into the dirt!
EMILY + CHRIS = FLIRT RUMORS, COURTESY OF VIENNA
Here's a portion of Star Magazine's story (via RadarOnline) about Em and Chris;
"Insiders involved with the hit ABC reality show have long been whispering about how close the pair have become, and in fact, Star has learned that the duo are actually madly in love, and that it's gone on for a lot longer than most people realize!"
"Chris always openly told staffers that Emily was the most beautiful woman he'd ever laid eyes on," said the insider. Chris did call Emily "Perfect on a Stick," but it's his job to promote the show and talk up the leads.
However, Vienna Girardi exclusively tells Star,"From the beginning, I always said there was no way Emily was really going to end up with one of the guys because she really wanted to be with Chris, and it was obvious he wanted to be with her too. I vacationed with Chris and his family in St. Lucia and know him well. He was never with his wife. He's such a flirt."
Take all of that with a lifetime supply of salt.
EMILY + BRAD = NEW BESTIES?
Wasn't it just last month that Life & Style had a cover story about Emily being engaged and ecstatic? Now they have her back on the cover, claiming she's having doubts about the guy she picked and she's turning to her Bachelor ex Brad Womack for support.
"They call and text each other," the source confirms to Life & Style. "They weren't on good terms after their painful breakup, but Brad says they're talking now, and it's throwing him for a loop. It's weird timing, but if anyone can understand what Emily is going through, it's Brad."
If even true, that doesn't mean they are resuming a romance, maybe Emily just realizes she may have been tough on Brad when she got so upset seeing his chemistry with other girls (like runner-up Chantal O'Brien), wondering why he said the same sweet things to her that he said to everyone. Now Emily's falling in love with four guys on her own season, so maybe she just wanted to connect and say something like "I get it now."
But what do we know? We spent yesterday wondering if Sean Lowe was going to put himself out of the running with Emily by revealing on his hometown date that he lives at home with his parents, but now we don't believe that preview and we’ve decided to go full X-Files and trust no one.
