The Bachelorette

He seems like a decent guy, but apparently we have to watch out for Bentley Williams — because ABC has already told us he’s trouble. The network announced Ashley Hebert’s 25 Bachelorette Season 7 bachelors today, May 3, and in an unusual move, they also revealed details about the guys themselves and what they do in the premiere.

As the press release explains, “Immediately, the drama begins: Chris Harrison is surprised to find out that Ashley already knows about one of the men — Bentley — before meeting him… a former Bachelor cast member tipped her that he might be there for the wrong reasons. When he steps out of the limo, all bets are off. She starts off being cynical, but is blown away by how attractive and charming Bentley is.”

According to Bentley’s ABC bio, he’s a 28-year-old investment banker now living in Tampa, Florida. He claims the most outrageous thing he’s ever done is “drove 40 hours straight,” and his most embarrassing moment is “tripped down a bowling lane on a date.”

When Reality Steve spoiled a bunch of bachelors a few weeks ago, he said Bentley currently lives in Alpine, Utah, and is a divorced Mormon with a 2-year-old daughter named Cozette. He graduated from BYU with a degree in finance and used to work for Goldman Sachs.

Now that Steve has read the new press release, he’s updated his own spoilers with details related to Bentley and Ashley.

“An early favorite, but lets just say Bentley strictly went on the show to promote himself,” Steve writes. “He wasn’t there for Ashley in the least bit. As for a former Bachelor cast member who warned Ashley beforehand? Well lets see, Bentley lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. Who is the outspoken, most talked about female from Brad’s season who lives in Salt Lake?”

That’d be our beloved Michelle Money of The Bachelor Season 15, in case you didn’t get it.

“I’m guessing Bentley is going to be the main focus of the first few episodes since Ashley has this info that he’s not here for the right reasons, yet, he’s one of her favorites,” Steve continues.

Here’s the really interesting part: “However, Bentley makes it easy for her as he is the one who voluntarily leaves the show on his own in the third episode, which is the same episode he kisses Ashley for the first time. My guess is in the promo where we see Ashley crying saying, ‘I never knew that I would come in here and so soon be heartbroken,’ she’s talking about Bentley eliminating himself. And I would not be the least bit surprised if Bentley is this season’s Ed in the fact that he comes back on the show at some point. Nothing confirmed, but I don’t put it past him or the show.”

So Bentley is there for the “wrong reasons” and leaves of his own accord. But what was his agenda? Was he trying to promote his investment career? Not likely. And honestly, does everyone in Salt Lake City know Michelle Money?
