Chris Lambton’s beloved mother, Marjorie, became a focal point of his “journey” on The Bachelorette Season 6. Mama Lambton suffered from multiple system atrophy, a neurological disorder similar to ALS, and passed away in 2008. When hunky Chris went shirtless on the show, you could see his mother’s signature tattooed on his chest.

Four years later, Chris is a happy newlywed, married to Bachelor 10 and Bachelor Pad 1 star Peyton Wright, and they have their own show on HGTV called Going Yard. But Chris will always be a proud mama’s boy, and on Sunday, August 12 he’ll be running the New Balance Falmouth Road Race to raise funds for Compassionate Care ALS, a Cape Cod, MA-based non-profit organization that gives individualized support to people living with ALS.

According to a road race press release, this will be the third year Chris runs in memory of his mother — and to raise funds for the organization that supported his family through her struggle.

“Growing up on the Cape, the New Balance Falmouth Road Race was always a big deal and something we all watched, so when the opportunity to run the race and give back to Compassionate Care ALS came up, I jumped at the chance,” Chris said in the statement. “My mom was a nurse at the Cape Cod Hospital and gave of herself in so many ways to her patients, community and family. Because of this, I believe that everyone should get involved in whatever charity suits them best and give back. Giving back just feels so good.”

Yep, Chris is as awesome as ever. Check out more intel on the race at www.falmouthroadrace.com and learn more about Compassionate Care ALS at www.ccals.org.

In other good news, Chris tweeted that Season 2 of Going Yard is in full swing. Congrats!
