Bachelor Pad 3 may have some competition this year — from 3.
"3" is the name of a new reality dating show CBS picked up to premiere this summer. According to Broadcasting & Cable, "The unscripted series will follow three single women of different ages and backgrounds as they search for love together and emotionally support each other through the dating and decision-making process."
The show is set to premiere on CBS this summer.
It's based on a hugely popular Israeli show and it's supposed to be all realistic and stuff — you know, like The Bachelor is not.
"3 is a relationship show that won’t perpetuate a fairy tale myth about dating," said Jennifer Bresnan, executive vice president of alternative programming for CBS Entertainment. "Without any typical game play, it intimately documents the search for love and the reality of dating — the anticipation, the excitement, the rejection. Along the way, we'll see personalities who are real, and flawed, and simply human." (The Bachelor already knows about flawed personalities, that’s for sure.)
As The Wrap noted snarkily with its story on the new show, "Single men and women can apply online at www.cbs.com/casting. Please don't apply if you have a secret significant other because The Bachelor kind of has that market cornered."
