It’s finally time to say buh-bye to the loony bin! The Bachelor Pad Season 2 finale airs tonight, Sept. 12, from 8 to 11 p.m. on ABC. That’s right. Three-hours of trainwrecky goodness. And even though it’s been an exhausting six weeks of fights, tears, backstabbings, and soap opera love triangles, we’ll — sniff! — we’ll miss this batch of Padawans. Some of them anyway.
At this point, there are still four couples vying for the $250,000 prize:
• Michelle Money and Graham Bunn
• Kasey Kahl and Vienna Girardi
• Michael Stagliano and Holly Durst
• Ella Nolan and Kirk DeWindt
Here’s a refresher of what’s to come:
The first part of the finale will involve carting the Padawans off to Las Vegas for the final challenge. The four couples will have to perform a Cirque du Soleil routine judged by former Bachelor Jason Mesnick and Bachelorettes Trista Sutter and Ali Fedotowsky. The judges will eliminate one pair, and the challenge winners will choose who joins them in the finale.
Then we’ll get to the actual finale — taped last week in front of a studio audience — where the final two couples will face the eliminated Padawans. The departed castmates will ask the finalists Survivor-esque final tribal council questions to determine which couple gets the $250K.
Then, at the end of the three hours, we’ll have (sob!) no Bachelor programming until 2012 — most likely Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, for the premiere of The Bachelor Season 16 with Ben Flajnik. But never fear! We’ll fill our fall/winter days with scoop about Ben and his beauties and, of course, some spoiler goods.
So be sure to return to Wetpaint’s Bachelor and Bachelorette sites every day — yes, every flipping day or we’ll miss you! — for updates and we’ll get through this dark, empty void together.
