Georgia native and Season 4 Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas, 29, has decided go country for her impending nuptials, opting to wear cowboy boots when she marries high school teacher Stephen Stagliano, 27, on October 22. As for the rest of the ensemble, DeAnna tells Star magazine she’s pairing those boots with a Disney princess-inspired gown by Alfred Angelo.
Interesting combo, but maybe that's the new trend? It does sound a lot like what country singer Miranda Lambert did when she married singer and The Voice mentor Blake Shelton in May.
“Stephen didn’t believe I was really going to wear cowboy boots under my wedding dress,” DeAnna told Star magazine (via RadarOnline). “But I am wearing a pair of Justin boots, and they are so cool. It’s part of my Southern heritage.”
DeAnna continues to gush about Stephen, saying “I’ve found a wonderful man.” Some credit should probably go to his brother and former Bachelorette contestant Michael Stagliano, who introduced the two after meeting DeAnna first. (Side: You can follow Michael’s complicated love situation with Bachelor alum Holly Durst on this season’s Bachelor Pad).
Congrats to the happy couple. We can’t wait to see pics — especially if they’re even half as adorable as their country-set engagement pics.
