In The Bachelorette Season 8, Episode 5, things got dramatic — and fast — for Emily Maynard and her remaining 10 guys. It was an epic episode jam packed with romance, history, and a lot of yelling.
First, Em went on a tour of London with Sean Lowe, making out with him in front of Buckingham Palace. Then, Emily had a group date, in which Ryan kissed her and Arie adorably donned a (medieval) nurse costume for his star turn in Romeo and Juliet. Kalon made the unfortunate mistake of calling Ricki “baggage” while hanging out with the guys, at which point Doug took it upon himself to tell Emily. That’s where things got heated — with Emily confronting Kalon about his remark and abruptly sending him packing.
Emily and Jef finally had their first kiss, which was just as romantic as you’d expect — causing Jef to gush about how Emily makes him feel like he’s basically living a fairytale. That guy.
At the end of the evening, Em sent Alejandro home, which was unsurprising given how little we’ve seen of the San Francisco mushroom farmer. What was surprising, however, was how emotional Alejandro got in his exit limo. It made us wish we’d seen more from him.
What do you think – do you agree with who Emily sent home?
