Breaking news from the set of The Bachelorette! Wetpaint Entertainment has learned that Emily Maynard JUST found out about contestant Arie Luydendyk, Jr.’s personal ties to one of her producers and is “very pissed off,” says a show insider.

As Reality Steve was the first to report, dashing Indy Car driver Arie Luyendyk Jr. has a history with one of the show’s female producers. A romantic history. Turns out, he used to date Cassie Lambert, a producer of The Bachelorette who, clearly, was involved in the selection of Emily’s potential suitors. Cassie and Arie’s romance has long been over and Cassie’s currently engaged to another producer on the show – but the strange fact that her ex was cast can’t be ignored.

Until recently, Emily – who was not allowed to have phone or Internet privileges while shooting the show – was unaware of the connection. But a reliable Bachelor insider tells us she was just informed of it…and she’s NOT happy.

Reality Steve touched on the growing scandal during his live video blog last night and now, Wetpaint Entertainment can provide the details. “Emily was shocked when she was told about Cassie and Arie’s history,” our Bachelor insider informs us. “She’s furious right now.”

“The sex stuff is especially upsetting. She’s not comfortable with the fact that this guy she’s started to fall for has already slept with her producer.” As we already know, things with Arie and Emily had been going so well, he had made it to the final four. This past weekend, Emily flew to Arizona to meet with Arie’s family during the home dates.

“Arie has definitely been a front-runner so far,” says the insider. “Emily’s developed serious feelings for him.”

But now that she’s found out about him and Cassie, will she still want him around? According to Reality Steve, there’s an elimination ceremony happening today and Emily’s anger could put Arie on the chopping block. “Emily’s hurt. In terms of what this means for Arie’s future on the show… I just don’t know.”
