Sean Lowe Opens Up About Bachelorette Emily Maynard: “I Care For Her Deeply … But She’s Not For Me”
Just so you know — if you didn’t shed a tear over Sean Lowe’s departure from The Bachelorette, then you might be a robot. We’re still soothing our puffy eyes from the ugly sobs after Emily Maynard sent the beefy, blue-eyed fan favorite (and total sweetheart) packing in Curacao. In a video interview with The Times (via Q13fox) at the “Men Tell All” taping, a surprisingly chipper Sean reveals his feeling about potentially being the next Bachelor, and how he’s coping after having his heart broken by Emily. Poor guy.
Before the car that took Sean away had even left the curb, we could all see that he’s a prime (dare we say “perfect”?) candidate for the next Bachelor — but does he have any hesitations at handing out roses of his own? Sean says, “I have a lot of hesitations,” elaborating, “For one, this was such a draining experience and it was emotionally taxing — so, can I go through all this again? I don’t know, and I don’t know if they’re going to ask. If they do, I’m definitely going to have to put a lot of thought into it.”
No wonder Sean is a bit reluctant — his heart was put through the wringer. He says, “I definitely experienced heartbreak. [...] But now I’m just at a point where I care for her deeply and I want the best for her, I truly do — but she’s not for me and I realize that. My wife is not going to have any doubts or hesitation that she wants to spend the rest of her life with me.”
So who is Sean rooting for in Emily’s Final Two — Arie Luyendyk, Jr. or Jef Holm? “Honestly, they're very similar in a lot of different ways,” he then jokes, “They’re more — let me use a Ryan Bowers colloquialism — ’dainty.’” Sean adds, “They’re both great guys and they both possess a lot of great qualities,” before concluding, “I couldn’t choose.”
Nope — that’s Emily’s job now.
