In a break with recent tradition, ABC is announcing the Season 7 Bachelorette this Monday, March 14 at midnight — how Cinderella! — on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Perhaps this is to make up for the fact that Howard Stern got an early look at The Bachelor Season 15 finale, but Jimmy didn’t. (Yes, both men are big Bachelor fans. Who says the show is just for the ladies?) Or perhaps they want to save an unspoiled surprise for us, since the “After the Final Rose” episode has already been taped and that’s often when the lady in question is revealed.

Check out this tantalizing note from the ABC press release: “Tune in to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ to find out if the popular franchise will continue with its tradition of selecting a former contestant from ‘The Bachelor’ as its new leading lady, or if they will make a surprise choice.”

We’re all in favor of a surprising choice, but we have a feeling it’s just going to be Ashley Hebert.

“In her exclusive interview with Kimmel,” the press release continues, “The Bachelorette’ will divulge the traits of her ideal companion as she begins her journey to find love in the show's seventh installment, premiering this spring on ABC. It’s an interview you definitely will not want to miss.”

So, just to recap, that means on Monday we have the two-hour Bachelor finale, the one-hour “After the Final Rose” and then Jimmy Kimmel Live. We might need to pull an all-nighter, Bachelor fans! Start developing your “I’m too sick to come in” cough for Tuesday morning.
