Put your tray tables up, Bachelor Padawans, the Jake and Vienna reunion flight is about to take off. The three-hour premiere of Bachelor Pad 2 is this Monday, August 8 and Zap2it spoke to both Season 14 Bachelor Jake Pavelka and his ex-fiancee/sworn enemy Vienna Girardi (separately, it seems) for their very different perspectives on what it was like to see each other again.
Jake: "I didn't know exactly what I was going to feel. When you fall in love with somebody, you're always going to have a little love in your heart for them, no matter what. But that doesn't mean that you're in love with them anymore."
Vienna: "I had absolutely no idea that Jake was going to be there. We had been told that there would be no actual 'Bachelors' or 'Bachelorettes,' just contestants from those shows. I found out right before (taping of) the show started, so I didn't have enough time to react. I'm glad I at least knew beforehand, rather than standing in the house and him suddenly walking in. I wouldn't have gotten all the screaming out."
Jake doesn’t discuss the personal dynamics in the house, but he tells Zap2it he had a hard time in competitions, which he wasn’t expecting. Vienna said she turned down a request to do Bachelor Pad Season 1. When she and Kasey Kahl started dating at the start of this year they decided it wouldn’t be so bad if they could do the show together.
And Vienna does reveal in the new extended sneak peek that the only reason she did Season 2 was because Kasey promised to “protect” her. But judging from the tears, the tension with Jake is no match for his guarding-and-protecting powers (too easy).
Needless to say, things will get ugly. Bad news for Vienna/Jake, good news for viewers.
