The Bachelorette contestant Jef Holm spoke with reporters last week about his slow-but-steady plan to charm the socks off Emily Maynard, what he really thinks about the other guys in the house, and tonight’s “surprise” elimination.

The 27-year-old entrepreneur tells reporters he was “the only guy who played it cool” at the beginning of the show, developing a solid friendship with Emily before taking things to the next level.

But that’s not to say the Season 8 do-gooder doesn’t respect his fellow contestants. “There were some amazing guys there,” he admits. “I think the world of Arie. Sean is a faithful, genuine guy. Chris and Doug are great. Now that Ryan is gone, everybody is there for the right reasons.”

As for tonight’s big episode? Jef mainly stays mum but he does confess to some major plot points on the show.

“This is a huge pivotal moment in our relationship,” he teases. “And there’s a big, surprise elimination.”
