Bad news Desiree lovers! Looks like our dreams of seeing Des’ dreams come true are being delayed. But don’t get too upset — ABC is only moving the show premiere back by a week.

Season 9 of The Bachelorette will debut on May 27th at 8 p.m, when it was originally scheduled to air May 20th at 9 p.m. A new ABC series, Motive which is described as an “innovative procedural” has landed the time slot The Bachelorette would have called home.

Desiree, a bridal stylist who hopes to open her own bridal boutique (and dare we imagine, design her own wedding gown?) is still filming her season, which means her search for love is possibly going on right this very second! We hope it’s working out perfectly, and that there’s no more heartache in store for our favorite brunette — though as history has proven, finding your soulmate in such a process is never tear-free!

In the meantime, Motive could be a good way to get our girl power up in preparation for Des’ super anticipated quest for love, though. The show, an action-packed thriller, stars Kristen Lehman (The Killing, Judging Amy) as a single mom and detective.
