The Bachelor Nation recently lost two pairs of lovebirds (Emily Maynard and Jef Holm; Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson), but rather than get jaded, let’s look at some of the more successful relationships in the franchise. The following are the couples who held out the longest after the final rose ceremony—some of whom are still together today!
5. The Bachelorette Season 7: Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum
Relationship length: 14-and-a-half months...and counting!
JP proposed to Ashley in the finale that aired on August 1, 2011. They are still together and engaged, planning a December 2012 wedding that will be televised on ABC. Go, Team Cupcake, go!
red on February 19, 2003, and they got married in an ABC special on December 6, 2003. They have two kids together. ABC should do a huge event for their 10th anniversary next year!
4. The Bachelorette Season 6: Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez
Relationship length: 15-and-a-half months after the finale.
Roberto proposed to Ali in the finale that aired on August 2, 2010. Their split was announced on November 21, 2011, shortly before Thanksgiving. Talk about Turkey Day!
3. The Bachelor Season 7: Charlie O'Connell and Sarah Brice
Relationship length: Off and on for about five years after the finale.
Charlie did not propose to Sarah in the May 16, 2005, finale; they "took a chance" on a relationship. They broke up in September 2007, but later made another attempt. However, the couple split again in April 2010. As Charlie told People, "I think it was a mutual breakup. The thing is that we dated for five years […] and were just arguing over the same things and stuff like that. And then eventually you've got to go your separate ways."
2. The Bachelor Season 6: Byron Velvick and Mary Delgado
Relationship length: Five years and one month after finale.
Byron proposed to Mary in the November 24, 2004, finale. They managed to stay together through some domestic drama, but broke up in December 2009.

Relationship length: Nine years and eight months after the finale — and counting!
