First of all, whose dumbass idea was it to do a roast of the Bachelorette — especially Ashley Hebert? She’s already known for her insecurities, so you roast her? If the show wanted to roast one of its stars, they should’ve done it to Brad Womack, who actually deserved some tough love. Instead, the guys on Ashley’s Episode 3 comedy group date not only had to make fun of her, they were told not to hold back.
William Holman did just that, but did he go too far when he said he expected the Bachelorette to be Emily Maynard or Chantal O’Brien — and “who gives a sh*t” that it was Ashley? Ashley wasn’t upset with all of the tasteless boob references, so why should William be targeted for making that comment? How was he supposed to know it was her major insecurity button? He definitely wasn’t funny — but most of the guys were awful.
Will did say that he really wants to be a comedian, and some of his comments could lead viewers to believe he's the one who is really there just to promote himself... but he was also just doing what he was instructed. It’s a freakin’ roast!
