The Bachelorette

A while ago, Emily Maynard told us she was looking for a funny/cute guy. In ABC’s press release officially announcing her as the Season 8 Bachelorette, it states that “she is looking for someone who makes her laugh, doesn’t take himself too seriously, and can be her best friend.”

We’ve already shared some guys from past Bachelorette seasons who might be good for her (William Holman, clear your schedule), but we should throw some celebrities into the mix too. Why not? We all have a celeb crush, and it’s possible Emily could actually meet one of these guys and hit it off. It’s not like she’s never dated famous guys. Or maybe the casting department can use these celebs as a guideline (instead of casting Bentley Williams, who did not make us laugh).

So here are five guys who might be good fantasy celeb matches for Emily:

1. Justin Long
The 33-year-old actor is the ideal adorkable boyfriend. He would probably treat Emily like a princess and make her smile every day. Drew Barrymore’s loss could be her gain!

2. Chuck Wicks
Emily used to live in Nashville and she seems to like country singers. It's a shame Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton are already taken. What about Chuck Wicks? The 32-year-old country singer has the looks and he’s used to dating reality TV stars, since he performed on Dancing With the Stars with his now ex-girlfriend Julianne Hough. Em and Chuck could look good together. Do they already know each other?

3. Ryan Gosling
Who cares if he's dating Eva Mendes right now? Ryan is cute and funny and is every woman’s best friend. He’s the *real* sexiest man alive and if anyone in Bachelor nation has a shot with him, it’s probably Emily. (Or maybe Gia Allemand. She seems like his type, no?)

4. Jack McBrayer
The comedian and 30 Rock star is a good Southern boy who fits the funny/cute bill perfectly. The Georgia native is 38, the same age as Brad Womack, but he looks younger and has the kind of perpetually happy puppy-dog optimism that could be good for Emily — and also good for Ricki as a stepdad.

5. Bradley Cooper
The *official* Sexiest Man Alive is dating around right now, just like Emily, and they would be the perfect Barbie and Ken. He’s hosted Saturday Night Live and starred in The Hangover, so we know his funny bone works. She may like funny/cute guys, but if they cast a funny/cute guy who also happens to have dreamy blue eyes and a six-pack, that’s probably going to be her winner.
