Which Bachelorette 2012 Contestant Has Ties to Erica Rose?

The Bachelorette is always someone we’ve seen before — in Emily Maynard’s case, she was the fan favorite during Brad Womack’s Bachelor season (and turned out to be his favorite, as well). Turns out, one of her suitors is a friend of another fan favorite: Bachelor Pad 2 judge Erica Rose.

Kalon Joseph Reid McMahon is a model and branding consultant from Erica’s hometown of Houston, Texas. Weeks ago, before we’d learned this guy’s name and swooned over his modeling pics, Erica tweeted scoop that she had a friend joining The Bachelorette Season 8 as a contestant. Now, Erica tells Culture Map Houston why she thinks Emily and Kalon are compatible — and how he harshly criticized her tenure on the small screen.

Erica says Kalon wasn’t impressed with her sassy onscreen antics. “He once told me he didn't like how I represented Houston on the show,” Erica spills. “So hopefully he can do a better job than I did!” As for why Erica thinks Emily might fall for Kalon? “I think that there is a possibility of a romance developing between them — they both like the finer things in life.”
