UPDATE: Drew Kenney’s skin isn’t the only thing that’s flawless; during the two-part finale, he took his wooing to the next level. Unfortunately, though, it just wasn’t enough to win the heart of Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock despite his making it to the final two. She eliminated Drew during the season finale saying she just didn’t see them together. As always, Drew proved himself sweet and understanding, which only added to the heartache.
At times, we see contestants cast on The Bachelorette and we’re like: "Umm, maybe they’re cute in the right light," or "let’s at least hope he’s smart." And then there’s Season 9 contestant Drew Kenney. Anyone with eyes can see that this guy is hot (with like 11 “t”s), but he’s not the kind you have to look much deeper to tell that he has a lot more going for him.
The 28-year-old Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona resident was one of the most well-rounded contestants ever to pop into our dream journal: he’s super smart, with a BS in Business Administration from Arizona State and an International Business Certificate from Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, he speaks Italian, and he works multiple jobs. He’s a Ford model (he’s even won several awards), a bartender, and he also works in Customer Retention and Reputation Management for a large group of automotive dealerships.
In his own words, Drew says, “I am an energetic and highly motivated competitive achiever who can perform under pressure in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. With 8 plus years of goal-driven professional experience, I am adept at managing technical projects with a strong background in business analysis and customer relationship management.”
Besides that, the 6’2” model has had editorial campaigns in Vanity Fair and Vogue, ad campaigns and commercials for majors like Reebok, Microsoft, and Major League Baseball, and has walked the runway for Ted Baker, Alexander McQueen, and Wrangler.
Family-wise, Drew is super close with his sister Meghan and his darling niece and nephew (Maeryn and Johnny), who live in the St. Louis area. He LOVES Dave Matthews Band (see his Twitter for constant DMB feelings), and we think he’s pretty much the perfect catch. Unfortunately, Des didn't agree eliminating him during the season finale.
