The Bachelorette

Chris Siegfried

Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock is about to get down and dirty with a fleet of fabulous hotties, one of whom might become her future husband! Desiree wants nothing more than to fall in love and pop out a bunch of kiddos, and we're thinking former professional baseball player Chris Siegfried might just be hubby material. This 28-year-old Oregon native is a whopping 6 feet 4 inches tall and was a minor league pitcher in the Chicago Cubs organization from 2007-2011 after playing for the Portland Pilots from 2005-2007.

Yep, he's super athletic — but Chris isn't only interested in his pecs (which are fabulous, by the way). He also does part-time modeling work (NBD, don't we all?), and works as a production partner for HomeStreet Bank Mortgage Lending in Seattle, Washington! That's right, he can totally set Desiree up with her very own house in the USofA's rainiest city.

Oh, and duh — Chris is a total smartypants, which is super important because Desiree is a pretty well-educated gal. Not only did Chris graduate from University of Portland's Entrepreneur Scholars Program, he immediately nabbed a big league job as an assistant global marketing analyst at Adidas. Sports, guys. They've struck again!

Check out Chris' modeling shots here, and feel free to swoon at his hazel eyes. What a dream boat! Naturally, our favorite pictures in the series are "Chris Poses By a Tree" and "Chris Plays Shirtless Soccer With Himself," although, we'll always have a soft spot in our hearts for "Chris Looks Sad While Wearing An Enormous Scarf."

Despite mass speculation that Brooks Forester was going to come back to Antigua to win Desiree's hand, Chris ended up being the only Season 9 contestant to meet Desiree's family, ask her father for his approval to take her hand in marriage, and get down on one knee for an emotional proposal topped with a dazzling ring... which she obviously accepted! That's right, Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried are engaged, and Desiree is relocating to Seattle to move in with her beau!

This marks two seasons of the Bachelor franchise in a row featuring a Seattle-based winner. We here at Wetpaint Entertainment are patting ourselves on the backs for living in such a lovely and loving city!
