Jen Schefft made her reality TV debut as a contestant in Season 3 of The Bachelor. Andrew Firestone proposed to her in the finale, but he and Jen Schefft ended their engagement in December 2003. Jen then went on to star in Season 3 of The Bachelorette. After rejecting marriage proposals from John Paul Merritt and Jerry Ferris, she decided to give a relationship with Jerry a shot. They fizzled within a few months. Today, a few years after penning Better Single Than Sorry, she is no longer a bachelorette: In September 2008, she got engaged to her boyfriend of six months, Joe Waterman, a trader, and they wed in May 2009. They welcomed their first child, daughter Mae, in November 2010, and their second child, daughter Charlotte, in August 2012.
