The Bourne Legacy, The Campaign, Hope Springs: Wetpaint Entertainment’s Sexy-Not Sexy Weekend Movie Guide, 8/10

You've got two choices this weekend: You can get out in the sun and get some exercise... or you can fight off the heat in an air-conditioned movie theater. We think the winner here is fairly obvious. Here's the scoop on three flicks showing this Friday, August 10.

The Bourne Legacy

In this Matt Damon-less fourth installment of the espionage franchise, Jeremy Renner takes on the hero role, alongside Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach, and Oscar Isaac. It's a matter of life or death for Aaron Cross when the CIA is out to make him disappear, while he strives to expose his superiors. Apparently, Jason Bourne was "just the tip of the iceberg."
Sexy: Jeremy Renner
Not sexy: Corrupt government
Verdict: Fans of the previous three films may suffer from Damon withdrawal, but we think Renner is worth the price of admission.

The Campaign

When a longtime Congressman (Will Ferrell) has a major screw-up right before election time, a couple of super-rich CEOs put up a candidate to challenge him. Their man, Marty Huggins (Zach Galifianakis), seems like an unlikely choice, but with a little help from his team, he's soon a real contender for the post. And the mud-slinging battle kicks into high gear.
Sexy: Dylan McDermott also stars
Not sexy: Dirty politics
Verdict: With real-life drama unfolding during this year's presidential election, a political satire is a great way to put it all in perspective.

Hope Springs

In an effort to spice up their nonexistent sex life, Kay (Meryl Streep) convinces her husband Arnold (Tommy Lee Jones) to head out to the small town of Great Hope Springs to consult a renowned couples specialist (Steve Carell). Hilarity ensues as the pair get over their bedroom inhibitions after 31 years of marriage.
Sexy: Finding that old spark again
Not sexy: Needing Steve Carell's help to do so
Verdict: The critics are loving this smart rom-com — we're thinking girls' night!
