Now that it’s May, TV shows are finding out if they’ll get renewed, picked up, or be given the dreaded ax. One of this year’s epic tragedies is the cancellation of The Carrie Diaries on The CW. We’re pretty depressed to say goodbye to Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb) and the rest of the gang, but we’re even more sad that we will never get to meet the rest of the Sex and the City crew — most importantly the ever-cynical Miranda Hobbes.

Since we won’t be getting any closure, executive producer Amy B. Harris opened up to E! News about the unanswered questions that fans are most interested in. We already fell in love with Samantha Jones (Lindsey Gort), so how would we have met Miranda?

“Miranda was Mouse’s roommate at Harvard,” Amy told the website, making us extremely sad that we’ll never get to see that dynamic. We can just imagine all of the shenanigans that these two Ivy League ladies would have gotten into at Harvard.

That being said, Amy is proud with how the show came to a close at the end of Season 2 and maintains that it is a fitting series finale.

"I love the last episode of Season 2 knowing Carrie was in NYC on her own with all the wonder and terror that brings," Amy said. "[I] always knew that final episode, which I hoped was just a season finale, could also be a series finale if it came to an end. I hope I gave the fans of TCD and SATC a satisfying end and beginning."

You did, Amy. You did.
