We’re all a-tizzy with anticipation over the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on November 22 (or, if you’re us, at 11:59 p.m. the night before), but that doesn’t mean we’re not already thinking about the next installation of Katniss’s life! And lucky for us, so are the folks making the movies that make us Panemaniacs.

So, when does Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 start filming? It’s already underway! While Jennifer Lawrence and the crew are currently attending movie premieres in Rome, London, Paris, and wherever else there’s a theater and a red carpet worthy of their regal steps, you can rest assured that the third installation is already in progress.

In fact, photogs caught up with Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen) and Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne) on set outside of Atlanta, Georgia, where they were filming a scene in the woods. In one shot, Gale takes aim with a weapon, proving Kat isn’t the only one with mad survival skills.

As you’ll remember from the book, the two District 12 pals grew up hopping fences and scuttling through the trees at the edge of town to hunt in the off-limits area. So, when they’re faced with much less edible enemies in the last two installments of the HG film adaptation, we’re confident they’ll be able to handle themselves just as well.

Though we’re stoked that the talented folks behind the Hunger Games series are on top of filming, we can’t believe we’ll have to wait until November 23, 2014 to watch Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1.
