5 Reasons Sutton Should Die on The Lying Game
We’ve already pieced together a compelling list of reasons why Sutton (Alexandra Chando) shouldn’t sink to the bottom of a lake and meet her watery doom, but are there any fan girls out there who want to see her killed off The Lying Game? Then this post is for you! It might not be a bad thing if Sutton’s a goner –– especially if you ‘ship Ethan (Blair Redford) and Emma (Alexandra Chando)! Check out our 5 reasons the Suttonater shouldn’t make it out alive....
1. She’s kind of a biatch
No offense to Sutton’s lovable snark, but ever since Emma rolled into town and assumed her identity, everyone’s been way happier. The rentals are thrilled, Laurel’s (Allie Gonino) perkier, Ethan’s studlier — even Alec Rybak (Adrian Pasdar) seems less evil. While some of us love it when Sutton busts out her alternate personality (aka “Regina George”), others cower in fear and write in their burn books.
2. It would make things easier for Emma
Emma’s had a rough life of foster home hopping and clown pants wearing, and Sutton’s just one more bummer ruining her good vibrations. If Sutton didn’t make it through the rest of the season, Emma would be free to take over her life completely! Of course she’d have to shave her head, develop a cackle, and call herself Mr. Burns in order to go through with such a devious scheme.
3. She’d stop humping and dumping
Sutton has left quite the trail of broken hearts behind her. There was Luke Coburn (where for art thou, bro?); Ethan; the hot male nurse she probably banged; the teenage gambler; and, of course, Thayer (Christian Alexander). All these boys are headlining Phoenix’s chapter of The Lonely Hearts Club, and they’d be thrilled if Sutton were out of the picture. She’s a man-eater!
4. It would free Ethan of a guilty conscience
As much as Ethan claims he never loved Sutton, we heard that story of their romantic moonlit motorcycle ride. You can’t fake chemistry like that, Ethan! But if Sutton were to sink like the Titanic, Ethan wouldn’t be constantly worried that he’s making out with the wrong sister!
5. Does the show really need her?
In the endless quest to find Emma and Sutton’s birth mom, most of the action is centered in Phoenix. Sure, Sutton found a burned down house outside L.A., but other than that she hasn’t exactly been instrumental in the investigation. Now that Annie Hobbes has busted out of the institution, do we really need Sutton’s help anymore? Answer: You decide!
