Time to lie your pants off, ya'll! The Lying Gamers are back for another episode of sexy looks, six-packed studs, and nefarious hot dads, and it's better than ever. In Season 1, Episode 18, “Not Guilty as Charged,” one of our favorite mystery-solvers is arrested for murder, but it looks like the world's creepiest district attorney is guilty of the crime. Can you guess who we're talking about?

Criminal Minded

Ethan (Blair Redford) might be a modern-day version of Brad Pitt circa Legends of the Fall, but boyfriend isn't immune to the long arm of the law. The episode begins when Ethan's hauled back to Phoenix and thrown in the clink, but his whack pack of besties will stop at nothing to save him!

Emma (Alexandra Chando) shows up at the police station (in a completely insane white anorak) to profess her undying love for Ethan and decides to devote herself to setting her man free. First up: a visit toDan Whitehorse (Tyler Christopher), who apparently spends his time shooting glass bottles for target practice. After basking in his manly glory, Emma convinces Dan to hire a "legal genius" to represent Ethan. Enter Dan's ex-girlfriend, Theresa, whom he asks to be Ethan's defense attorney over a flirty dinner. Sigh, this match-up is sure to cause all kinds of court room drama (innocent until proven sexy!).

Theresa knows how to play ball, and she suggests that Emma and the gang find other suspects in Derek's murder while she focuses on getting the facts straight. Despite Mads’ (Alice Greczyn) and Thayer’s (Christian Alexander) hesitation, Emma reveals that Alec Rybak (Adrian Pasdar) was at the scene of the crime, but Theresa is wary about how "dangerous" Alec might be. Hmmm, what does she know about Daddy Rybak that she isn't telling us?

Meanwhile, Thayer heads over to the rez to pick up Sutton (Alexandra Chando) and attempts to have a conversation with Mr. Whitehorse — who kinda, sorta implies that Ethan and Sutton were hooking up all over his house. Awkward! After saying bye to her horse-friends, Sutton moves back into the cabin and has a reunion with Mads, who's none too thrilled about re-friending her on Facebook or otherwise. Mads is furious that Sutton didn't tell her she had a twin, but honestly? Who needs Sutton when you have Emma?

He's a Maniac, Maniac!

Emma's convinced that Ethan's innocent, but her fake parents? Not so much. Ted (Andy Buckley) and Kristen (Helen Slater) are positive that Ethan's a serial killer who moonlights as a professional stud, and they aren't happy about her hanging at the jail. To make matters worse, the trial is putting a strain on Ted and Kristen's relationship. Better start listening to "Someone Like You" on repeat, KiKi.

Meanwhile, Alec wants to take Ethan down to Chinatown and try him as an adult, so he assigns one of the best prosecutors in Phoenix to prove his guilt. Luckily, Alec's other half, the incomparable Rebecca (Charisma Carpenter), believes in Ethan's innocence... and she also thinks Alec might be a crazy murderer. What gave it away — his predilection for hiding in dark corners?

Emma meets Rebecca for drinks and tells her that Alec was seen by a frat-boy the night of Derek's murder, and Bex seems convinced that something's awry. She heads to dinner with Alec, but their meal is interrupted by an anonymous note reading "Don't trust your date." Could this be the same person who sent Emma that creepy shard of Sutton's dress?

After her sleuth-session with Rebecca, Emma visits Sutton at the cabin, and they have a giggle-filled bonding session. Maybe they don't hate each other after all! Or maybe this is all part of Sutton's evil plan to steal back Ethan. Yep, that must be it, because when Emma gets a text from Theresa asking if she can meet Ethan at the jail, Sutton deletes it! Sigh, what does this gal have up her couture sleeves this time?

Meanwhile, Laurel (Allie Gonino) and Baz celebrate the news that — wait for it — they're playing Coachella. Yes, all their hipster dreams are coming true! Unfortch, Laurel's rentals aren't exactly jumping for joy about her partying in California, and they forbid her from going. Hah, like that'll stop her!

Get Out of Jail Free

Our worst fears are coming true! Sutton’s and Emma's identical faces are causing all kinds of problems, and this time a stud's feelings are at stake. When Emma meets up with Mads for a late-night coffee, Sutton heads over to Ethan's jail cell and pretends to be her sis. She listens tearfully as Ethan describes their hookup as "sickening" but then tells him that "she" (aka Emma) slept with Thayer. Burns like the fire of a thousand studly smolders!

In other news, it's the day of Ethan's arraignment, and things are about to get interesting. Rebecca gets a surprise when her secret admirer texts her a picture of Alec threatening Derek with a tire iron. Busted! (Also, is “A” sending texts to Phoenix from Rosewood?) Alec admits that he visited Derek on the night he was murdered, but only because Derek texted him saying there was a "life and death" emergency. According to Alec, Derek denied sending the text, so Alec grabbed the tire iron to disarm him and then booked it outta there. What do you think, Lying Gamers? Is Alec telling the truth?

As for Ethan, you'll be thrilled to know that his case is completely dismissed due to insufficient evidence! The sad news? Ethan rejects Emma at the courthouse, and when she goes home to cry her eyes out, Sutton sneaks in through the back door and drops the bomb that she and Ethan slept together.

Oh, Sutton. Love to hate you and hate to love you!
