Season 1 of The Lying Game left us with some huge cliff hangers. While we don’t expect everything to be resolved from the get go, Allie Gonino (Laurel Mercer) shared  three things you can expect to see in the dramatic premiere of Season 2:

Alec Gets His Day in Court
“The first episode picks up with Alec (Adrian Pasdar) in jail after being arrested for Derek’s murder,” said Allie. “And so everyone’s at court to see his trial.” While Alec is the prime suspect in the grisly case, Allie says we won’t find out for sure whether he actually killed Derek.

Can Kristen and Ted Work It Out?
Allie says that her onscreen parents remain separated at the beginning of Season 2. “Things are very tense around their relationships,” she said. Laurel even writes a song to try and reunite Kristen (Helen Slater) and Ted (Andy Buckley), but to no avail.

Mads Cuts Ties With Rebecca
With her dad in jail, Mads (Alice Greczyn) is left with new step-mother Rebecca (Charisma Carpenter), but not for long. “By the end of the episode, Mads decides that she doesn’t want to live with Rebecca anymore and comes to stay at the Mercer house,” said Allie. And even though Rebecca and Alec are married, he’ll piece things together soon enough to figure out she was behind his arrest.
