Can’t wait for ABC Family’s The Lying Game to come back on your TV screen? We can’t either, but unfortunately the show isn’t returning until January. The good news: Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Andy Buckley (Ted Mercer) at the ABC TCA All Star Party to get some scoop on the upcoming season!

Wetpaint Entertainment: What can you tell us about the first episode back?
Andy Buckley: The first episode there’s a big party, like a concert outdoors.

Why are we at this concert? Is it for your daughter, Laurel?
Of course, it's Laurel, and sparks fly, baby.

Between her and her real-life boyfriend, Adam Brooks, who plays Baz, I would assume?
Yes. Adam. Baz, as they say.

That seems like a happy scene?
Well, everything's falling apart. My life is falling apart. My kids' lives are falling apart.

We’ve discovered you're a man of many secrets.
Many secrets, and I think my level of secrecy has just like only hit ten percent of a hundred percent. And I think they have countless secrets upon secrets that they're going to layer on top of all that as the seasons go.

So, are you both the adoptive dad and the real dad? Are you just The Dad of these twins?
Well, isn't that an interesting question?  I may know. I may not know. We will learn the answers to that in Season 6. No. (Laughs) I think we learn that in the first five or six, maybe even the first two or three episodes. But there are a couple of other kids that we learn about.

How many kids have you had?
Not necessarily for me, but in a “Who's the actual parent of an actual child” and a couple of other kids show up. Chuck Pratt’s got a few things up his sleeve.

What about Ted’s relationship with Rebecca?
Something may happen there. Something seems like it might happen there based on what I've read.

Is his marriage unraveling fast?
My marriage?  It may be unraveling. It's a bit of a roller coaster, I'm told. It seems to be unraveling, and then, maybe it's about to be fine, and then I'm sure there will be another bombshell halfway through the season that sends it spiraling down again.

In real life, I don’t think people know how funny you are. Are there funny dad moments coming up on the show?
Probably not on this show. If [Modern Family’s] Ty Burrell needs a brother...

You are on the same network.
They can throw me over there. I will accept.
