We have to hand it to The Lying Game: We had no idea Emma (Alexandra Chando) would reveal her secret to Mads (Alice Greczyn) in Season 1, Episode 16, “Reservation for Two.” Will Mads shrug it off as another of Sutton’s (Alexandra Chando) Lying Games, or will the secret bring the two girls closer? In a recent roundtable with reporters, Alice revealed what’s in store Mads and Emma.
“Mads kind of acts as an ally to Emma because she’s really upset with Sutton,” Alice says,” and now that she knows Emma’s not actually Sutton, she and Emma can be friends.” The revelation has to explain a lot about Sutton’s bizarre behavior over the past few months. Unfortunately for Emma, Mads isn’t going to like everything her new bestie has to say.
“Emma’s the one telling Mads things she doesn’t want to hear about her dad, so there’s still some tension there, and that plays out through the rest of the season,” says Alice. Alec Rybak (Adrian Pasdar) is one wicked dude, and if anyone can come between the two gal pals now that they’re being so honest with each other, it’s Mads’ dad. Alice adds, “I think Mads, she’s very aware her dad’s not a very savory character, but I think she has just sort of accepted it and would rather focus on more positive things and just not deal.” In Alice’s opinion, Mads has figured out Alec paid Eduardo to leave town but doesn’t think he was responsible for the ballet instructor’s accident.
Let’s hope Alec is too busy with Rebecca (Charisma Carpenter) to do things like run over Mads’ current boyfriend…
