If you’ve ever seen MTV’s My Super Sweet 16, adding a “psycho” to the title seems superfluous. Regardless, made-for-TV horror franchise My Super Psycho Sweet 16 did just that, and they’re about to make a third slasher flick for MTV. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Lying Game’s Kirsten Prout (Char Chamberlin) will return as Alex Bell, the role she had in the trilogy’s second movie.
Lauren McKnight rejoins as Skye Rotter, and Awkward’s Jillian Rose Reed will also star. In the third installment, Kirsten’s character, Alex, receives a visit from her sister, Skye, on the day she turns 16. Following the basic storyline of the other two films, 16th birthday parties and serial killers go hand in hand, followed by equal parts bloodshed and teen angst.
