It’s only October, but we’ve been anxious to know when Season 2 of The Lying Game will start next year. The show was scheduled to air at the beginning of 2013, and now we have an official premiere date!

TalkTVWorld reports that The Lying Game will officially return on January 8, 2012 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The report also reveals some juicy new spoilers for Season 2.

Emma (Alexandra Chando) and Thayer (Christian Alexander) grow closer, despite her lingering feelings for Ethan (Blair Redford). Ted (Andy Buckley) already confessed to Kristen (Helen Slater) about his long-ago affair with Rebecca (Charisma Carpenter), but he may be harboring even more secrets from his family. Meanwhile, Mads (Alice Greczyn) makes the acquaintance of a mysterious new guy (most likely Jordan, played by newcomer Ryan Rottman), who stands to shake things up.
