The daughter of a neurologist and a child therapist, Kirsten Prout began her career when she was 10, scoring the role of young Stella McCartney in The Linda McCartney Story. Kirsten started out working locally in Vancouver, guest-starring on shows such as First Wave, Stargate SG-1, Cold Squad, and Stephen King's The Dead Zone. Her big break came in 2006 when she landed a recurring role on the ABC Family series Kyle XY. In 2010, after graduating from McGill University with a degree in English, Prout played the vampire Lucy in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Kirsten currently plays Charlotte “Char” Chamberlin on The Lying Game.
