We’re still treading lightly when it comes to shipping couples on The Originals. After Episode 6 (“Fruit of the Poisoned Tree”), we’re definitely swimming in feels for Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), and we’re starting to swoon for Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin). But what about Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Cami (Leah Pipes)?

There’s no denying that these two have a growing bond — hey, Klaus has been compelling the grad student for quite some time now and is totally wrapped up in her soapy backstory. But is there any hope that Klaus can leave his Klaroline feels back in Mystic Falls and move on to the only blonde beauty in New Orleans? Luckily we can count on creator Julie Plec to weigh in on the important issue.

"[Cami’s] going to continue to do anything and everything she can to break free of this bond that [Klaus has] created between the two of them that is controlling her," Julie dished to TV Fanatic. "She’s not a weak, little, wilting flower so she’s probably going to have a little bit of success at that.”

So it sounds like Cami is going to be trying to escape Klaus’s tight grip. We’re ready for this gal to buck up and show the vamps what she’s got! Plus, we’re still hoping Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola) will drop out of school and head down to NOLA. We can dream, right?
