Once again The Originals has hit it out of the park with the tunes. We’re really starting to think that the spin-off can eclipse it’s source, The Vampire Diaries, in every way. Not only is the writing totally spot-on, but we’re getting some fresh drama, fewer love triangles, and definitely fewer doppelgangers.

On tonight’s episode, “Bloodletting,” we learned a lot more about Hayley’s (Phoebe Tonkin) past and her baby’s future. Not only can her baby’s blood turn werewolves into hybrids, but it seems like they’re compelled to obey her — which will definitely be bad news for Klaus (Joseph Morgan).

With the arrival of Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) down in New Orleans, we thought we’d get some epic music to welcome the scorned hybrid to his former sire’s backyard, but surprisingly there wasn’t much momentum in the sound department there. Luckily, though, the music that was played in tonight’s episode was worth the wait.

Check out tonight’s songs and hit the comments and let us know which was your favorite!
